Maine Farmland Trust

Established in 1999, Maine Farmland Trust is Maine’s only statewide land trust focused exclusively on farmland. It is our mission to:

• Protect and preserve Maine’s farmland
• Keep agricultural lands working
• Support the future of farming in Maine

We work with landowners, land trusts, farm groups, towns and state agencies, to identify and preserve valuable agricultural land, so that it will forever remain available for agriculture. And, through our FarmLink program, we connect farmers looking for land with farmers who have farms for sale or lease.

Maine Farmland Trust Gallery

We are 'Celebrating Art in Agriculture' through our new visual arts venue, opening May 2, 2008 at 97 Main Street, Belfast. The MFT Gallery will focus exclusively on farm-related art depicting the current vibrancy of agriculture in Maine.
